Ordering Prints: Overview

You can order high-quality professionally developed prints of any photos in your Snapfish account, whether from film you've sent in, digital pictures you've uploaded, or friends' albums shared with you. You can order 4x6, 5x7, or 8x10, and uncut sheets of 4 wallet-size (2x3) prints. We'll send your prints anywhere in the world.

Print finish type may vary by retailer, professional photographic paper.

You'll find the 'order prints' button is in the upper right of the photo library, album view, or photo view pages under the 'photos' tab.

As you add prints to your order, this information is saved in your cart. A summary of your cart contents appears in the gray area labeled 'your cart' on the left side of the photo library, album, and photo view pages. To see the details of your order, click on the 'edit cart' link in the gray area. Or, from most pages on the site, you can click on 'your cart' in the upper right corner of the page.

You can also choose to pick up your prints at a retail location in your area. As you're checking out, you'll be given the option to have your prints shipped to your home or made available for pick-up at a store. When pick up your prints at retail, you will not be charged for shipping. Learn more about retail pick-up.

Note: You can change your order at any point before you click on the 'buy now' button during check out. You will not be charged until you click on 'buy now'.

Ordering Prints from your Photo Library
  1. Navigate to your photo library by clicking 'photos' at the top of most pages.
  2. Click on the album that contains the photos you want to order prints of.
  3. Click on the 'order prints' button on the right side of the page.

Ordering Prints from Photo View

If you are viewing an individual photo, you can add prints to your cart without leaving the page. Your order information will be saved in your cart until you're ready to check out.

Here's how to add prints to your order from an individual photo view:

  1. From an individual photo page, click 'order this print,' the top item in the yellow 'quick start' menu at the top right of the page.
  2. You'll see a message that reads 'this photo is in your cart!'. This indicates that we have added a print of this photo to your shopping cart. The cart summary on the top right side of the page will update automatically with the contents of your cart.
  3. Continue to use the Snapfish site until you're ready to check out.
  4. When you're ready to check out, click on 'your cart' at the very top right of the page.
  5. You'll be taken to your shopping cart. It will show every photo that you have selected for prints, with a single 4x6" print pre-selected. You can order any quantity of any size print by changing the quantity numbers in the fields provided.
  6. Choose your shipping method. You can also choose to pick up your prints at a retail location near you for no shipping charge. Learn more about retail pick-up.
    Note: Not all retail locations offer all print sizes.
  7. Also, print finish type may vary by retailer, and any pre-paid or free credits do not apply to prints picked up at retail.

Order Prints from a Group Room
  1. On your homepage, you'll see a list of the group rooms you belong to under the "your group rooms" heading. Click on the one that contains the photos you want to make into prints.
  2. You will be taken to the homepage of the group room. From there, click "order prints" in the toolbar on the right side of the page.
  3. On the following page, click on the album that contains the photos you want prints of, and click the "open this album" button.
  4. Click on each photo you'd like to order. To select the entire album, click on the "select all" link.
  5. Next, click on the "choose these photos" button.
  6. Single 4" x 6" prints will be pre-selected in your cart, but you can easily adjust the size and quantity of the prints in your order.

Your Cart
Your cart holds your orders for prints and Photo CDs, photo gifts, and photo cards. Any merchandise you add to your cart is saved there until you check out or remove the items from your cart. Here are a few quick tips about your cart and the checking out process:
  1. A thumbnail of each photo you've added to your cart will be displayed to the left of the quantity boxes. Type a number in the boxes to adjust the quantity of each size. After adjusting quantities, click the "update total" link to see your updated subtotal. If you'd like to remove a photo from your order, click on the "remove photo" link under the photo. This will remove the photo from your print order (but not from your account).
  2. Print Preview: Click the "print preview" link under a photo to see how it will appear when printed in different sizes.
  3. There are three "Quick order" drop down menus at the top of the "prints" section of your cart. There is one menu for each size print: 4" x 6", 5" x 7", and 8" x 10". These menus allow you to quickly and easily order multiple quantities of a certain size for every photo in your print order.
  4. When you click on one of the boxes, a drop down menu will appear, allowing you to choose a quantity for that size. For example, if you click on the 4" x 6" menu and choose quantity "4", every photo in your order will change to indicate that you're ordering 4, 4" x 6" prints. You can use this option for any print size in your cart by clicking on the appropriate link. To clear the quantities of a particular size, click on the print size menu and choose "0".
  5. If you'd like to order prints of photos that aren't yet in your cart, click on the 'add more photos' link.
  6. A yellow triangle next to a print size indicates that the photo is too small to make a high-quality print at the selected size.
  7. Any credits that apply to this order are listed in green below the prints. The order total at the bottom of the page includes shipping and handling. Applicable sales tax will be added when you review and place your order.
  8. Near the bottom of your print order total, you'll see a section called "Photo finish". Choose the paper type you'd like. Print finish type may vary by retailer, professional photographic paper.
  9. You can also choose to pick up your prints at a retail location near you for no shipping charge. Note: Not all retail locations offer all print sizes. Learn more about retail pick-up.
  10. You can also add a border - white thin, white torn, or black thin - to any unbordered prints in your cart. Any border added at this point will be applied to ALL prints in your cart that don't already have a border. Learn more about adding borders in your cart.
  11. Your coupons do not appear in your cart. You'll have a chance to enter your coupon code during checkout.
  12. When the correct sizes and quantities of all the prints you want to order are displayed in your cart, click on the "update total" link to view your subtotal. Then click the "check out" button to continue. Please note, you can change your order at any point before you click on the "buy now" button at the end of checkout. You will not be charged until you click on "buy now."
  13. Clicking on the "empty cart" link near the bottom of the page will remove all prints, photo gifts, photo cards, and Photo CDs from your cart. When all of the prints you'd like to purchase at this time are in your cart, click on the yellow "check out" button at the bottom of the page.

Checking Out for Photo Counter Orders
Through Snapfish, you can pick up 4" x 6", 5" x 7", 8" x 10", and wallet set(s) of 4, 2x3 prints, as well as 4" x 8" and 5" x 7" photo cards, at local retail locations.

Prints picked up at retail are more expensive than prints mailed to you, but you do not pay shipping charges. In addition, prints picked up at retail are only available in glossy finish, and any pre-paid or free credits do not apply. Learn more about retail pick-up.
  1. On the "pick up or ship" page, select "pick up my prints at a local retailer."
  2. Enter your ZIP code in the field provided and click "continue."
  3. You'll see a list of retail locations near your ZIP code and the estimated pick-up time for each location. Click the button next to "I'll pick up at this location" to select a location.
    Note: Each location will show the earliest pick-up time available.
  4. If you want to pick a different location, click the "Enter a new ZIP" link and enter a new ZIP code.
  5. Once you've selected the location where you'd like to pick up your prints, click the "continue" button.
  6. Enter a phone number where we can reach you if there's a problem with your order.
    Note: If your Walgreens order is over $40, we ask for your billing information in advance, but won't charge your credit card. If it's under $40 you pay for your order when you pick it up.
  7. On the "review & place order" page, you have a chance to check your order one last time before placing it. If you'd like to change your pick-up location, click on the "change location" link.
  8. If you want to make any changes to your order, click the "edit prints order" link.
  9. When the information on this page is complete and accurate, click the "buy now" button to place your order.
  10. You'll see a receipt for your order. Please print or save this page for your records.

Checking Out for Mail Orders
  1. On the 'billing & shipping' page, select your shipping method and the address to which you'd like your order shipped. If we already have your address, it will be displayed on this page.

    To send your order elsewhere (e.g., to your office, to a friend) without changing the main shipping address for your account, select 'ship to another address,' then enter your alternate mailing address.

    Tip: We'll ship your order to you, or to any address in the world. All items in a single order must go to one address.


  2. If you have a coupon that applies to your order (for example, you're ordering 8x10s and you have a '10% off 8x10s' coupon), type the coupon code in the box labeled 'coupon #'. You can also select special offers like a second set of prints. When you're finished, click 'continue'.
  3. On the next page, enter your credit card information and billing address. If we already have this information it will be displayed on the page. When all of the information on this page is complete and accurate, click on the 'continue' button to review your order before placing it.
  4. On the 'review & place order' page you have a chance to check your order one last time before placing it. Check your billing and shipping information. If you need to change anything, click on 'edit billing' or 'edit shipping'.
  5. If you want to add additional prints, or remove any from your order, click on 'edit prints order'.
  6. When the information on this page is complete and accurate, click on the 'buy now' button to place your order.
  7. You'll see a receipt for your order. Print or save this page for your records.
  8. Click on the yellow 'back to photos' button to return to viewing your photos.
Sending Prints to Other People

When you send prints to your friends or family, they will receive the prints along with a list of the package contents and a letter indicating that these prints are a gift. The order list and letter do not include any price information.

Note: You don't pay for prints that your friends or family members order on their own. When you share an album with friends or family, they create their own Snapfish account before viewing your album. When they order prints, they'll be asked to enter their own credit card information.

How to Select Retail Pick-up for Print Orders
To choose retail pick-up for your print order, follow these steps:

  1. Once you've selected your prints and added them to your shopping cart, click the "check out" button to finish ordering.
  2. On the next page, click the circle next to "Pick up my prints at a local retailer."
    • If you don't have a preferred pick-up location saved in your account, you'll need to enter your zip code in the field provided. Then, you'll see a list of retailers near your zip code that offer print pick-up.
    • If you have a preferred pick-up location saved in your account, that store's name and address will appear on this page. To pick up at that location, click the circle next to "pick up at this location." To pick up at a different location, click the circle next to "pick up at a different location," and enter your zip code to find a list of the nearest retailers.
    When you've entered your zip code or chosen your retail pick-up location, click the "continue" button.
  3. If you don't have a preferred pick-up location, you'll be taken to a page that shows a list of the retailers nearby where you can pick up your prints. Once you've confirmed the location where you'd like to pick up your order, click "continue."
  4. Next, you'll be able to review your order. The earliest estimated pick-up time will be noted in bold underneath the store's address and phone number. You can change your pick-up location or switch to shipping by using the links in the "pick-up info" section of this page.
    NOTE: Your prints will not be ready to pick up until after the earliest estimated pick-up time noted on this page.
  5. Once you're ready to place your order for pick-up, click the "buy now" button. You'll be taken to the order confirmation page, which you may want to print out for your records.
    NOTE: You may be asked to enter your credit card information to confirm your order. Your card WILL NOT be charged, unless you don't pick up your print order within 35 days.

Checking Out for Kiosk Pickup Orders
Through Snapfish, you can pick up 4" x 6" prints at photo Kiosks at select retailers.

Prices for prints picked up at Kiosks vary from retailer to retailer, and are slightly higher than prices for prints mailed to you. You do not have to pay shipping charges for Kiosk pick-up orders. Also, print finish type may vary by retailer, and any pre-paid or free credits do not apply to prints picked up at retail. Learn more about retail pick-up.
  1. On the "pick up or ship" page, select "pick up my prints at a local retailer."
  2. Enter your ZIP code in the field provided and click "continue."
  3. You'll see a list of retail locations near your ZIP code and the estimated pick-up time for each location. Click the button next to "I'll pick up at this location" to select a location. Note: Each location will show the earliest pick-up time available.
  4. If you want to pick a different location, click the "Enter a new ZIP" link and enter a new ZIP code.

  8. The following page is your order confirmation with barcode. Please print your confirmation page and bring it with you. If you don't have access to a printer, write down the "Kiosk pick-up order ID" that's included in the Kiosk pick-up section. You will need this barcode or Kiosk pick-up order ID to print your photos.

    Note: Orders of more than 200 photos are not available for Kiosk pickup.

Retail pick-up pricing
Pricing for prints picked up at a local retail locations varies by retailer. Shipping charges do not apply to retail pick-up orders. Learn more about retail pick-up.

Billing
We don't charge your credit card until we ship your order. We ship and bill prints and Photo CDs separately. When we charge your card, we'll send you an email message. This is your receipt and includes all of your order and payment info. For more information, see payment and credit cards.

Timing
Your order will be processed within 3 days of the time you submit it. We ship all print orders via First Class mail (U.S. Postal Service). You should receive your prints within 5-7 business days. We'll send you an email message when we ship your order.

If you choose to pick up your prints at a retail location near you, your order will usually be ready within a few hours. There will be a message during checkout with the estimated time and date your order will be ready.

Common Questions About Ordering Prints
How do I return/get a refund for a print order?
If you're not satisfied with a reprint or enlargement, we'll send you replacement prints or refund your money. If you request a refund, the credit card you have on file with your Snapfish account will be credited for the amount of the refund. See the Refunds/Return form.

Are my prints going to look like the picture on my computer?
Actually, they'll look better. When we print your photos, we use the high-resolution scans of your photos that are stored with your account. As a result, your printed photos should appear cleaner and more colorful than what you see on your monitor. We'll display a warning for any photo that may not produce a good quality print, and you can click the 'preview' link under each photo in your cart to see how it will appear when printed in different sizes.

What does the yellow triangle mean?
In your cart you may notice a yellow triangle next to one or more of the photo sizes (4x6, 5x7, 8x10, wallets). This is a warning that print quality at that size may not be as good. To avoid ordering a low quality print, we recommend that you do not order a print size when a yellow triangle appears next to it.

What resolution do I need for good quality reprints of my digital photos?
If you'd like to order a print of a digital photo you uploaded to Snapfish, you'll get excellent results as long as you follow this simple guideline: high quality digital prints start with high quality digital images. This means that the digital photo files you upload must be of a minimum pixel size to produce the best print. Please refer to this chart to determine the minimum image size you need to produce quality prints:

If your photo doesn't meet these minimum image-size requirements, you'll see a yellow triangle next to one or more print sizes in your cart. To avoid receiving a low-quality print, we recommend against ordering sizes marked with a yellow triangle.

Can I order reprints in a matte finish?
Yes, you can. At the bottom of your shopping cart, select the matte option in the "Photo finish" area. There is no additional charge for matte finish.

What do I need to know about retail print pick-up?
Through Snapfish, you can pick up 4" x 6", 5" x 7", 8" x 10", and wallet set(s) of 4, 2x3 prints, as well as 4" x 8" and 5" x 7" photo cards, at local retail locations. Here are a few things to know about retail pick-up:

  • Pick-up print prices are slightly higher than delivered prints, and prices vary by retailer
  • You don't have to pay shipping charges if you pick up your prints.
  • You'll need to pay for your order in-store when you pick up your prints.
  • Pre-paid and promotional credits and offers do not apply to retail pick-up orders.
